Household “chores”

Does anyone else cringe internally when your S/O does your household chore.. but VERY GRATEFUL at the same time? Lol. I do laundry every weekend. And sometimes when I’m busy my husband will do it for me/us. I love that he takes it upon himself to do it… but I do it in a specific order and he doesn’t .. NOT THAT IT MATTERS WHAT ORDER IT GOES BY lol. I just have a smidge of OCD and I am very grateful that he does it when I’m busy and I NEVER show that I’m slightly irritated by which order he did it in lol. I just thank him and move on with our day. I usually do towels, kids clothes, our clothes. And he does whatever. I do it in this order for my own sake of what’s easiest to put away first 😅🤣😂

I also have some OCD traits and can relate. With all the gratitude and appreciation, there is a slight eye twitch when some people offer to help, and I have to secretly go behind them and fix it. 😆

@Chrissy 🤣🤣🤣 at least I’m not the only one

lol the eye twitch is too real. I 100% relate to this and… so does my husband 😂 there are two things I’m not “allowed” to touch in this household; the vacuum blender and the instant pot. He cleans it in such a specific way that when I’ve done it he kind of stands behind me until I let him do it 😭 mind you I’ve left them spotless but it’s the order in which it’s done.

@Monica omg when you mention this, I remember my father being the same way. I must get it from him. No one in the household was allowed to make coffee or load the dishwasher because none of us could ever do it the "right way." He would stand behind us and correct every move. 😩🤣🤣 You just unlocked this memory in my brain.

Yes, I'm like this when my other half does the washing up. It takes a lot of self control not to re do the lot of it 🙈
