Also I'll add that when they get poorly their stomachs sometimes are a little more sensitive for a while after too xx
1-3 times a day, although he did do a lot more when he was little
My daughter used to go several times a day and then she went maybe three times between 6 to 8 weeks and then every 3 or 4 days and now every other day. At the moment it is more diarrhea due to teething according to HV. I think that as long as it is yellow/mustard colour and she isn't in pain it's fine xx
Thanks all. It’s a yellow mustard colour and she doesn’t seem in any pain although she does have colic but starting to grow out of that now. Think I might contact HV just to be on safe side xx
Same here and it was the same with my first. I worried about it so much with my first but he always seemed fine, I even went dairy free for a couple months but it made no difference. My 3.5m is the same so I’m not worrying about it this time - it’s just really annoying always changing them 😂
It's very normal for bf babies to poo quite a bit, but go through spells of no poos for a few days. But 5 seems a lot though. I would speak to hv
When my daughter was born (ebf) she did 20 poos in one day once.. went through nearly a pack of nappies a day now she can still go 4 times. Day !
My baby used to go 5 or 6 times a day up until around 11 weeks and then it slowed down to once a day and then sometimes once every two days. At 16ish weeks it turned to a creamier consistency but since her jabs on Monday she's back to several times a day and liquidy. x
My little boy was a couple of times a day but now goes maybe once or twice a day every 3/4 days and it's more creamy. It could be a number of things like getting too much foremilk instead of hindmilk, intolerance etc. As long as she's still producing wet nappies everyday she should be fine as she's still hydrated then but maybe go to your GP just incase too for advice or the HV xx
