In case it helps others…

Baby’s movements felt really different yesterday and then I didn’t feel them at all in the night. Woke up this morning at 5am and lay still for ages and nothing, changed position a few times and still nothing. Got myself quite worked up so called triage and they had me straight in and were lovely. Monitored baby for a while, did all my observations and reassured me everything was okay (the minute the monitor went on baby booted the thing 🙄🤣). I feel so much better now. So just to say, you’re not a nuisance and if you feel like you need to ring them, do! I always felt quite daunted by the thought of triage but so glad I went in.

Glad everything was okay! Definitely always best to get checked!

Glad all was well. The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. As soon as the monitor went on my baby boy decided to dance to the sound of his own heartbeat 🫠 I felt so silly going up but the staff were amazing at reassuring me it’s always better to be safe and get checked!

Yes, always trust your instincts and if something doesn't quite feel right get it checked out. Very important message for all mums-to-be, especially first time mums who may feel more anxious!

Same here! Friday I had a little bit of movement in the morning and then it stopped. After a few hours I decided to check in at triage. As soon as they put the monitor on little one went mad. Actually I had to stay longer to see if he'd calm down. Please get checked its worth the peace of mind.

This happened to me - it’s like baby knows as soon as they are in triage and starts wiggling as if to say “what were you so worried about mummy?!” But the midwife also said this is very common, who knows why it happens though!
