How many poops!!

Hello, sorry if this turns into a long post! I have a phone appt with the paediatrician on Monday but I just wanted to hear some other experiences of poop đŸ’© My LG was put on SMA Althera after presenting with blood in her stool at 3 weeks old. Everything was great and improved, she was doing 2 poops a day of quite pasty consistency. She had her 8 week jabs 3 weeks ago and it’s all changed (after having been on Althera without problems for 5 weeks). Shes doing about 9 watery mucusy poops a day, her bum has gotten so sore and she’s constantly farting and squirming. Having said that she is still a happy baby and aside from the squirming and writhing she’s not screaming or doesn’t feel uncomfortable. I don’t know if this is the milk or a side affect of her 8 week jabs! I just don’t feel it’s normal to have sooo many loose watery stools, but if it was the milk I don’t know why it would start after 5 weeks of being fine on it. Pic so we don’t get lost

Has her milk still got cows milk in it but hydrolysed? If it does it can be a build up reaction to the cows milk protein in it. If it doesn’t then I would give your doctor a call and ask them for some advice as when my little girl had her jabs we never had any mucusy poos just sore legs and a bit of a temp x

Sorry to offer unsolicited advice on a different topic, but you need to get those car seat straps closer to little one’s neck so that they’d hold her well into the seat if there was an accident 😊

@Sophie thanks this is actually just her push chair we don’t use it in the car :)

@Julia yes it does still have hydrolysed cows milk in it so maybe it’s that!

@Diana Maybe ask for a tin of amino acid formula and see how she gets on with thatâ˜șx

So the rotovirus vaccine can cause diarrhea for anywhere from 2-4 weeks so if she was fine before the jabs I'd hold off on switching and think it was down to the jabs

@YazmynJade Exactly this. The rotavirus vaccine gives my girl at least 10 days of diarrhoea and then it takes a bit to get her tummy back to normal.

We had this problem with my daughter they moved her onto aptamil pepti syneo which has good gut bacteria and it stopped it was like miracle milk! X

Hey could it be something to do with the rotavirus vaccine? Xx
