Mama finally went out 🙌🏼

Hi ladies! I just wanted to share a little win I had tonight. I watch my kids all day, every day with occasional help from my husband when he gets home from work/doesn’t have sports… so I barely make time for myself. WELL, I finally bought a ticket to a movie I’ve been wanted to see and just did the damn thing. Of course mom guilt crept in for a few minutes after leaving… but then I remembered they were with their dad and perfectly fine. Was only gone 2 hours, but it still felt amazing to just do something for ME for once. I really need to do that more often. Only downside… toddler was still up at 10pm when I got home even though she should’ve been in bed around 8:30. That’s dad for you (says they were busy having fun🙄)… back to work for me. ❤️

Sounds like your husband needs to schooling on helping you out more instead of sports. I would loose my shit if my partner did that. And good for you for taking time for yourself, love that.

Aww love this! Glad you got time away. Yes my husband had my 16mo for a couple hrs last night and couldn’t get her to eat dinner. She’s now been up multiple times last night due to being hungry and wanting to nurse. Sometimes it’s more work for us when we get back until dads have more opportunities to practice 😉

That’s really great, I’m happy for you. Since he has sports though and goes regularly I highly recommend you sign up a class of some sort that you wanna do- that gets you out of the house consistently on a weekly basis and is a non-negotiable break for you. That way you don’t need an “excuse” to get out- same day and time every single week that is YOURS only.

That’s awesome! My husband would have done the same thing with bedtime. He never gets them to naps on time if I run errands on weekend afternoons. I don’t think they understand the importance of their schedules
