EST size on anatomy scan

Hey what were your babies weighing in at? At 19 week anatomy they said my girl is 11 ounces. They said that’s large but when I looked it up it said 90 percentile. Anyone know how they calculate these things or if they are even accurate. Also this early maybe she will slow down and end up avg? Anyone know?

I went in at 21 weeks and my baby was measure 1.5lbs and they told me 84th percentile, we just got remeasured (23 weeks) and he’s almost 2lbs and they told me he’s >97th percentile. Sooo I don’t know if it just an average of measurements over time or if it’s different hospital to hospital.

I’ve heard that they can also just be unreliable as well… I guess we will see lol. 🤣 I just would rather not have a huge baby but I’m going to try no matter what to push her out all natural even if they tell me she’s 10 pounds

@Isabela I’ve also heard that and seeing the difference in my scans I’m inclined to believe it lol. I pushed out my first at 19years old she was past her due date and 8lbs 14oz, so you got this! Just do the massages and little tricks to help your body prepare. 🩵

Thx!

Just did the scan at 21 weeks and came in weighing 12oz. The US tech said they go through growth spurts so you never know which end of the scale they will be on! I measured ahead throughout the first trimester but am now a couple days behind 🤷🏼‍♀️

Went at 19w6d and baby was 12oz (.75 lbs) which they said was 60th percentile

Had mine at 20 weeks and he measured 14oz and they told me that the mid 60 percentile, so who knows!

At 18 almost 19 weeks my baby was 11 oz measuring 60th percentile. They can be off so much at the scans, they thought my son would be pushing 9lbs at birth and he came out right under 7lbs. I wouldn’t worry.

19 almost 20 weeks baby girl measured 10 ounces. i was told she’s 32nd percentile 🤷‍♀️

20 weeks when I went and she measured 14.5 oz and they said 78th percentile 🤷🏻‍♀️
