Inositol. This improves insulin activity and may help with ovarian function. Vitamin D. Many women with PCOS have low levels of vitamin D, and supplementation may help improve menstrual regularity and insulin sensitivity. Omega-3 fatty acids. They can help improve inflammation and may improve insulin sensitivity. Chromium. It helps improve insulin sensitivity and regulate blood sugar levels. N-Acetylcysteine (NAC). It may improve insulin sensitivity and ovulation. Zinc. It helps regulate hormone levels and may improve symptoms like acne and excess hair growth. B vitamins (particularly B6 and B12). They can support metabolic health and alleviate some symptoms of PCOS. Many of these supplements can be taken together, but it’s important to consider consulting a doctor, timing and dosage, side effects, and the quality of the supplements.
