Heart burn question

Has anyone been given any good advice (from a professional) about what we can take for heart burn? Mines so bad that I’m vomiting up stomach acid daily and it’s horrendous. The midwife told me to check with the pharmacist and the pharmacist I went to after work today didn’t have a clue! I can try a different one in the morning but wondered if anyone on here could help me out. Thanks in advance!

I take omeprazole daily as I had a gastric sleeve which causes me heart burn every day of my life. One 20mg every morning stops it completely. And it’s safe during pregnancy. Your doctors should be able to prescribe this to you ☺️ I used to wake up choking on my stomach acid if I didn’t take it and gaviscon/rennie would only work for 30 mins or so it is so severe! Soooo nice to have the complete relief every day!

My midwife prescribed me omeprazole as i was in tears in my first trimester with it (not as bad as you though!) so i took those when needed. Now i just have gaviscon when needed as its settled down a bit.

Not professional but some bicarb in water helps. So do fruit tingles if you can find them. I had heartburn bad and water would set it off - I’d have a fruit tingle and it would be instant relief. I didn’t want to take any more medication than I was already on so 🤷🏻‍♀️
