Marginal cord insertion

Has anyone been told they’re high risk for having a marginal cord insertion? Little babe wouldn’t show her face at the 20 week anatomy scan, or the next scan at 22. My provider said there was nothing to worry about but then referred me to fetal maternal medicine for another ultrasound since they couldn’t get all the images. But I just saw on the referral paperwork it says I’m a high risk pregnancy. Wondering if I should be worrying at this point?

Anatomy scans that early don’t really tell you much because your placenta and everything continues to grow. All is well.

I had a marginal cord insertion and everything went great with my pregnancy and my daughter was born healthy. What the doctor told me was that my baby would such everything from my body before not getting enough of what she needed. After birth they actually showed me the marginal cord on my placenta 😅

My sister got marked as high risk until they got a good anatomy scan but then everything came back normal and they marked her normal again

I’m marked as high risk because of my weight lol and I’m only 200 lbs. They also call “geriatric” pregnancies to women older than 30something. I wouldn’t worry about it. If there’s something to worry about, your Dr will tell you.

I have a marginal cord insertion right now! I’m sure we’ll be just fine! It happens in about 7% of all pregnancies. They just want you to come in for more frequent checkups to make sure baby is growing 🩷
