Is this normal?

I'm currently just over 4 months pregnant, and I've been having what feels like uterine pain while I go #1 Is that normal? Just part of my uterus expanding into my bladder?

This is my second pregnancy and I’m at similar gestation as you. I’ve never had what you’re describing. UTIs and bladder and kidney infections are common during pregnancy so it is worth checking with your doctor and doing a urine culture

It can be normal! This happened to me a lot in my last pregnancy and has happened a couple times this pregnancy!

I would get checked for a uti just in case but it can just be your uterus stretching. For me the last trimesters for both my pregnancies it was really hard to empty my bladder because the babies are so heavy haha I would have to lift up my belly and sit in weird positions to pee😂😂

I've had this even when not pregnant and in my mind I was imagining my organs shifting about and pinching a bit as my bladder shrinks while emptying. But honestly never thought about it too hard before 😅

It's common to experience some discomfort or pressure in the pelvic area as your uterus expands during pregnancy. The sensation you're feeling while going to the bathroom could be related to the uterus putting pressure on the bladder. However, if the pain is severe or persistent, it's always a good idea to check in with your healthcare provider to make sure everything is okay. Your doctor can provide the best advice tailored to your specific situation. Take care of yourself and the little one!
