In some areas they come to your house during pregnancy to have a chat about things. They don't do it in my area, though.
@Loren i see, they aren’t visiting at my house i have been told to go into some sorr of community centre for the appointment.
I had one in first pregnancy. She came to the house, sat in the lounge, asked about our jobs, feeding plans, sleeping plans. They look for things like clear work tops for milk prep and floor space for play, doesn't need to be spotless. After birth, one was ridiculous and told me the bottom of my door frames were too sharp 😂 I told her the kid will learn not to hit her head on them then 🙄
my friend just had hers she said she came round to introduce herself check how she was feeling and if she needed any advice support in any areas if they needed any help financially ect she said it was really nice!
Can’t say I had one either my first They came out 1 week after baby was born to the house and then some more visits a few months apart. They made sure my house was baby proof and gave tips to help Breastfeeding feed etc
