My baby and the car seat

Are you still in an infant car seat? They’re pretty horizontal and lots of babies want to be upright at this age. We got a convertible rear facing car seat and he loves it. Honestly, too much. Falls asleep within 10 minutes of any car ride.

My daughter also hates the car seat. The only thing I found that helps is playing songs in the car and sing them with her. Her favorites are Snoop Dogs Affirmations, The duck song, and Kiss a cow. We also have specific toys that are only for the car so that she is more excited to play with them. Also snacks and making sure baby isn’t hungry before leaving helps too! Hope this helps! It’s so hard when they don’t like the car seat!

Keep rides short, convertible car seat, and lots of entertainment. Best if dad rides in the back with baby

I second Kate’s comment. My baby use to hate his car seat, screaming the second he went in until we took him out, we use to dread going anywhere, but around 3 months we switched him to a convertible car seat and have never looked back. He’s constantly talking to himself and playing with toys in it, he also loves to sleep in it. He cries maybe 5% of the time in the convertible versus 98% of the time in the infant.
