Nuby seat

Has anyone else got this seat yet? I know it says from 6 months but my little boy can already sit in it comfortably at 3 months as his head control is so good 😍 he absolutely loves the little toys on it too

We have 2 of them, one for home and one at his grandparents house ☺️

In Europe they're told not to sit babies up until they can do it on their own because it is bad for their spines. So I don't know what to do, since they don't really tell us what we can and can't do here... They just leave us to it.

@Emmo he can pretty much sit by himself, I go to a baby group run by midwives and health visitors and they always comment on how well he sits for a baby his age, never mentioned anything about it being bad for his spine 🤔 xx

@Nikita lovely. Weird how there are different standards everywhere isn't it.

Ahhh I’ve been looking at these, I just know my little boy will love it too! He also has amazing head control so I’m wondering whether to get it now or wait another month or so

@Keira 🌸 I found it in Aldi for £19.99 not sure how much it is everywhere else but it's definitely worth getting one, it was meant to be for Christmas but we tried him in it and he loves it so he's having it now 😂😂

I have not used such chairs, you are mom and it is absolutely up to you to decide, but children sit from the mermaid position, this usually happens after the child has mastered the rollover and crawls on his stomach, the fact that you put him there does not mean that his spine is ready for this 💭

@Snezhana mermaid position? I had heard they sit holding them self up with a hand is that what you mean?

Yeah I got it in the prime day sale the other day. My little one is 3 1/2 month and sits in it just nice, but I only let him in it for a few minutes at a time with him being so young. He spends more time on his bean bag haha 🤣

@Snezhana apparently these methods are practiced by Eastern Europeans, but not elsewhere, so it seems like it works nothing ways. From what I have been reading, it wouldn't necessarily result in pressure on joints, but delays in learning things like rolling and crawling, mainly because they just spend more time sitting and doing want to learn the other things

@Emmo in fact, this is practiced not only in Eastern Europe, but also at least in the Middle East, I just explained why I do not use it, many use walkers as well and this is their choice, having problems with feet and back, I preferred to study the issue a little deeper, to give my child the opportunity not to suffer as I do…
