Wooden toys

What’s so good about them? I see a few people fighting about them on social media and queue’s outside Aldi but I don’t get it surely they’ll do more damage as they’re heavier 😅 I say this my LO is more interested in the dogs toys than her own anyways 🙈

They just tend to be more durable and last longer than plastic toys, can also be safer than plastic (in terms of bits snapping off) and to me, just nicer to play with and have in my home aesthetically 😂 The Aldi ones are really reasonably priced, as well as being nice quality, which is why people go mad for them I think. I bought bits last year for my eldest and was really impressed by them, so I bought some more bits this year too.

Haha yeh I get that they are probably more aesthetically pleasing I looked on Amazon after watching someone’s haul and thought they’re pretty much the same sort of price so weren’t sure what all the fighting in Aldi was about 🙈 was wondering if there was something special about the Aldi ones.

So one of the things I picked up was a little car ramp thing. I’d sent some links to family members for ideas and all the ones on Amazon were around £20, but then saw the Aldi one was £9.99! Bargain! Swiftly said to scrap that, we’ll get it for him 😏 and they can now spend the same money they would have spent on something else he’d like. Theres nothing super special about them, though some of their ideas seem pretty unique- like they had a giant horse box thing which I’d never seen before! Though, people go bloody mental and buy way more than they need and then sell it on at a ridiculous mark up. When that happens absolutely give your money to Amazon rather than the pricks that do that 😂

Is it only me that think they look a little boring🙈🙈 Not something id be rushing for anyway lol x

They're often more development friendly too as the plastic toys can often have things that baby isn't ready for or can be overstimulating.

I actually said to my sister about them earlier and she reminded me when her eldest girl was little she actually chucked a wooden toy ended up smacking her sister in the face and she got a massive bruise and cut on her face that was investigated 😅🙈 I had forgotten as they are now 16 and 12. I know my LO is constantly chucking her balls from her ball pit and soft toys already so dreading it if I get her anything with a bit of weight as I’m having another baby so already worried she’s going to be too boisterous 🙈
