Low placenta

Has anyone been in this situation? At 20 weeks they mentioned I had a low placenta but weren’t worried or didn’t restrict me for anything saying it will live back up. I have just been to my 32 weeks scan and it seems it hasn’t moved and is still low. Because my placenta is posterior, apparently it is unlikely it will move back up and are already talking about c-section. (Having another scan at 36weeks to check again ) Has anyone been in the same situation and still were able to deliver their baby vaginally ? Need some reassurance! Thank you

Yes, me! :) I had it pretty close, almost covering my cervix also detected at 20 weeks and posterior placenta. Had extra scans and a few internals to leading up to birth by I think 34-36 weeks it had moved enough for a natural vaginal birth. :)

I have a low placenta too and an obstetrician told me they would let me deliver naturally even if it is still low when I go into labour 🤔 they said they don’t worry too much as by the time you go into labour 95% have moved out of the way, it’s a lot more common then you think 😊

I had it too and was still low lying at 34 weeks (posterior too) it moves the most in the last trimester. They started talking about a caesarian with me too but I requested more ultrasounds. By 37 weeks it was about 3cm away (and at 34 weeks was only 0.8cm away!) Goodluck!
