Daycare vs nanny

Our 16 month old is well settled into daycare. I work 3.5 days per week and I had him at the centre 3 days per week, however due to mum guilt and just worry that 3 days is too much at this age, I reduced daycare to two days and hired a nanny for the 3rd day, and thought it would be good to get some help occasionally for date nights and weekends. The only trouble is, little one doesn’t seem to be warming up to the nanny. As I work from home, he is constantly crying for me and comes over to my desk, seems to be pretty cranky. I feel so bad, the nanny is lovely and has a quite a few years of experience already. Any advice??

Hi, i think its because your around they are getting upset. I work from home also 2 days a week n have family helping out but bub will still come looking for me only want me etc. My bub is in 2 days a week at care also n id consider another 1 or 2 days they love it.

Well if ur home bubs is gonna want you..if he is upset at home with a nanny and ur not getting work done..daycare is better..if hes happy there and having no issues ild put him back to daycare.

If u feel bad about it see if u can do a half day at daycare..so u get all ur work done in morning pick him up amd spend rest of day with him :)
