I went for so many extra scans as I was terrified after 2 losses, it became a very expensive obsession for us. I went for my first one at 6 weeks just seeing a little fetal pole. And I had about 3 a week up until week 37. They cost us £55 a time for a reassurance scan so as you can imagine how much it cost in total x

We went for a 4D scan at around 28 weeks. I thought after the 20 week scan I’d be comforted enough that my baby was fine to last until she was born. But I just ended up wanting to see her again and know she was all good. And seeing her little face like that was pretty amazing!

I didn't as had monthly growth scans as he's got suspected club foot

I had a private scan at 16 weeks and 30 weeks for reassurance but ended up having loads done on NHS near the end after I said to my husband it's silly there are so little scans due to ending up having a high risk pregnancy 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I did. I just wanted reassurance as baby 1 was during Covid and they were utterly crap with maternity care. It also meant my husband could attend and see his baby as dads in 2020-2022 were banned from appointments.

I went weekly/every 2 weeks throughout my pregnancy because I was just so apprehensive after having numerous bleeding in the first trimester. They’re expensive but you can’t put a price on reassurance!

First baby we paid for 2 private scans as hubby wasn’t allowed to the nhs scans but could do the private ones I’m a midwife and with this pregnancy i was crazy anxious about ectopic pregnancy and missed miscarriages in the early days (we had a loss just before falling pregnant again) so had an early scan at around 8 weeks to check everything was as it should be. We also had an early gender scan too but as its twins since 20 weeks we’ve had a scan every 2-4 weeks anyway to check growth

Just one extra early gender scan so we could surprise our family at Christmas 🥰
