Baby vaccinations

First time mum here and currently 15 weeks. The midwife started discussing all the vaccinations that they suggest baby to have once here. I’m not sure how I feel on all of them and not sure if baby will need them all? What’s peoples thoughts on it… I’m stuck between two minds because my mum never gave us any vaccinations and all of us 4 kids turned out fine

Whooping cough is a must - it transfers immunity to your baby. Maybe do some research around it but I wouldn’t skip that one in particular

I’m not getting any of the vaccines whilst pregnant, I didn’t on my first pregnancy either, not worth the risk to me. In terms of the baby’s ones, I looked into each one individually and decided against the MMR but he had the other ones even though looking back now not sure I’d get them all again

My kids are fully vaccinated and I see it as rather to have then not and be sorry if that it would never happen to me moment came about. If your worried about things like autism etc those are genetic not vaccine given. Vaccines for things like meningitis etc are crucial. If you ever seen a child that got meningitis honestly you would probably cry as it destroys their brains I work with people who have had meningitis and now have long term disability’s and it’s heartbreaking

@Suzie there’s also risks of having them, I haven’t had MMR myself and neither have my siblings and neither will any of my kids! But up to the individual if they want to get it or not

I had no vaccinations when pregnant and my baby has had no vaccinations and he’s nearly 1. I really did extensive research so I was happy with my choice, it gives you peace of mind. True statists reveal everything!
