Constipation due to prep machine?

I'd recommend buying a nuby rapid cooler instead 🙂 I use it and makes a bottle in a few minutes! I also use the hot shot method so it doesn't need sterilising as it only has boiling water in it. I always got told not to use the prep machine

I was told by several different midwives when I was in hospital not to use prep machines because they can make babies unwell/upset tummy this is due to the build up of bacteria that can happen in the back of the machines! I guess this could also impact how often your baby is pooping!c

@Lauren I heard the rapid cooler is good😊We already spent 100£ for Tommy Tippe so it's a bit shame to spend another 50£🤣Yeah hot shot method is quick😁I'll start from there and see if it improves or not. @Amy Ah that makes sense. I wasn't told by any midwife about it😂

I use the rapid cooler for every feed and it's honestly a life saver!

There are studies that show the prep machine has contributed to gut issues in babies so not recommended by nhs. It’s worth trialling out not using it and seeing how you get on

I used to keep a bottle of boiled water in the fridge so I could do the hot shot method and cool it down with the fridge water and bottle be ready within a couple of minutes rather than pay for a nuby x

My baby was never constipated and we always used it

@Kyoko I was there for a week so I guess they had more of an opportunity 😂 x Also just to add there are lots of babies that use them and are absolutely fine but there are also lots that aren’t. Every baby is different x
