Jabs and calpol

We had ours today, we were told not to give before hand but to give it straight away afterwards and then 2 more doses 4-6 hours apart. Hope this help ☺️

My HV told us to give our baby a dose before the shots. He still cried though but only for a short while like 15s. No further reactions after.

We had ours wednesday and gave ours before due to advice and I would say that was a mistake - you can only give four doses of calpol in 24hours says on the box. Our jabs where at 11am and his temp start going up at 5pm so it meant we wasn’t covered by calpol overnight for a little bit which led to a bit more stress but every baby is different.

3 doses of calpol! Our nurse said 3 in 24hrs, 6 hours in between. Give first dose as soon as you can after. My baby had hers on Monday and she still got a fever, just so you're aware it can still happen! She was fine by Tuesday afternoon. Let your bubba sleep as much as they want and lots of feeds!

My baby had hers today. We gave her calpol when we got home about 25 mins after she had them done and she’s been ok!

Same as @Aimee mentioned. We had ours yesterday and gave the first dose of calpol straight away after the vaccine as advised.

I gave my baby calpol just sat in the waiting room before going in to the appointment just incase I couldn't get it into her after

I gave ours as soon as got home then twice more within the 24 hour period, he slept a lot that day and the following day and a little bit grumpy the following day but back to his smiley self by the evening and did not get a temperature x

It’s completely pointless to give it beforehand 🙈 it won’t change the sting from the injection. My girl cried for about 10 seconds and then that was it! She was fine that day except maybe a little more sleepy then the following day her temperature raised ever so slightly and she was a bit more cuddly and that was it. All back to normal after ☺️

We have ours tomorrow too! I’m also dreading and I’ve been through it before with my son. I just feel bad that they don’t know what’s coming 😟

Give them as soon as you’ve had the jabs (I took a dose drawn up) then every 4-6 hours after that but not more than four doses in 24 hours x
