Getting out

I’m a stay at home mom and I play with my 3.5 month old daughter all day and go for walks outside. I really want to go shopping with her but it’s hard because every time we get into the store she’s fine for 5-10 minutes and then just gets super fussy and starts crying (I make sure she’s fed and changed before). I’m not one to draw attention to myself so it’s hard to enjoy shopping when everyone just walks by and stares. Then I feel like I have to rush and can’t enjoy it.

I find putting them in the baby carrier helps. They are then close to you then being in the car seat or stroller.

I also keep a toy handy for my little girl to play with. It could be the lighting in the store maybe?? I pull over the canopy. My little is 6 months and loves to be slightly upright so she can see out.

Same boat as you! He likes to be in the bassinet version of the stroller. And look around. Having him in the carrier helps too. I keep it handy bc some days he doesn't like the carrier either. See what works for you daughter. And ignore the stares ×enjoy the shopping mum! 💕

I had this and it was the bassinet part of the pram turns out I have a nosey baby and he wanted to see out when he was really little I used to put the car seat on the wheels and now he’s nearly 5 months and he’s in the sit up part still goes reclined when he’s asleep but it’s faces me or faces out and he’s great now he can see what I see and get involved maybe try that she might just wanna be nosey xx

Agree with Jenn - I always put mine in the ergobaby. He’d usually fall asleep while shopping.

My son feeds TO sleep so if he’s getting antsy I look for a baby room and find a spot to BF and while BF he dozes off so I wait another 5mins then I’ll put him down in the bassinet part , tuck him in a thin blanket tucked into the sides, (liked to be swaddled or tucked in, he’s facing me and I’m checking on him every couple mins) and I walk out knowing he’s asleep and that’s when I go walk around the shops in peace. If he’s fully fed and I’m driving otw home he’ll usually fall asleep from the motion as well. So maybe babywear, or feed to sleep OR find a baby room and rock her back and forth in the pram to sleep- whatever will help her sleep- and after that you can walk and shop in peace. From about 6-7m onwards he was able to fall alseep in the pram w motion after he’s fully fed, but that’s when we started solids.
