From carrycot to seat unit

Hey mummas… When did you swap from carrycot to seat unit? My LO (4,5M) started to roll and is very curious about the world. Every time we go for a walk with the carrycot he falls asleep even at times he should be up, which then messes up his schedule. We have the iCandy Peach 7, so we can make the seat unit reclined as he doesn’t sit by himself yet. Do you think it’s too early for the swap to seat unit?

I didn't swap until after my son could sit by himself, but my son was tiny so he fitted in the carry cot until he was around 10 months, i only used it for car journeys after he could sit un aided though

We swapped our LO early as she hated the carrycot and was instantly happier in her pushchair. It does say from birth (we have the silver cross dune) so we went for it and haven’t looked back!

Our little one is over 15lbs now and is quite long @Zoey and have very little space left 😅 we have appointment with osteopath in 2 weeks time so I will ask then just to be sure no harm is caused. Thank you @Sophie im tempted to swap it now hh 😅 just if it doesn’t work is a nightmare to build the carry cot. I wouldn’t buy iCandy again 😅 how old was your LO?

She was just over 2 months old. She’s been so happy in it ever since, being able to see the world. It is still facing us so we can keep an eye on her but I’m sure they’ll soon change 😂 ours was stupidly easy to collapse down!

I swapped my little boy at 8 weeks. He was too nosey xxx

We swapped at 4 months as baby was very long but we kept him laid completely flat until he could sit independently and our pram was suitable from birth (the ocarro). I wouldn’t sit them up that young it’s really bad for their spine x

@Nicola what a lovely pushchair. Our one has the vent too high so even if on the tummy he will not be able to see outside 😢

11 weeks old x

I swapped mine aver around 4.5 months and just had it slightly reclines

My little one hated laying flat so I put him in the seat unit from 4 months and it didn’t do him any harm,He was still laid quite flat just not fully flat and he was able to see what was going on as he’s a nebby baby😂

Oh boo 😔 maybe flip him around the other way so he faces you, will be easier now there’s no sun to have to shade him from just wrap him up warm if you did want to try tummy time in the bassinet 🥰
