AITA

I have my first child with my now ex partner 11month old girl and we’ve just broken up. The relationship was horrible on both ends I always complained constantly for lack of emotional support, support in general and he broke up with me when I got postnatal depression for being too negative. Now is where the question comes in, for some reason I’m still begging for him back it’s all still very fresh, he’s coming on weekends to pick up our daughter Saturday-Sunday and collect all of his stuff from my house. For my mental health I spoke to him this morning after his and our daughters video call which I always facilitate. I told him I need a break from the video calls as it’s wrecking my mental health and puts me in such a depression mood all day for our daughter. I asked if I stop then for a couple weeks while I get over it all. Now I’m suddenly the asshole. AITA for not wanting to facilitate this calls with his duaghter for a couple weeks while I mentally come to terms with the break up?

No You’re not. You need time to heal. Baby is only 11 months old, if he wants to ft he can do it when you have other people

@Nelly she only bothers via phone call for like 2 minutes flat anyways, won’t be forver but I am going to take some time to stay away from the video calls it’s too much for me

Other people make the call* Or you can make it so that you don’t have to see him. Honestly, leaving your partner when they’re going through ppd tells you he never cared about your feelings at all.

Someone else can facilitate the phone calls. You need to put your mental health first.
