Baby seat

My baby is 3 months old, when can I put her in one of these seats? She can hold her head up on her own now

If you feel your baby has good head control I would say use it. I felt my LO was ready at three months and he does really well with it!

Yes

4 plus month is what is recommended i believe.

After she can sit on her own (not with your help)

@Manuela if my LO can sit up on the couch with some support from a pillow, can he use this? We just got one at a HUGE baby sale and id love to get to use it

@KC I was researching exactly the same bc we have some similar items we can't wait to use from cousins. They explained the baby has to know how to sit on their own because it's a developmental achievement and when we sit them and support them with pillows and things they are skipping important phases of movement. Besides this their muscles, bones and body parts are not mature, prepared or ready to sit if we are sitting and supporting them with stuff. I hope it helps but you can research it, I'm no expert

We got this around 4mo with my daughter to help with her independent sitting. By 4.5 she was sitting with no support. I wouldn’t use it unless baby has some control while sitting first. They can have good head control, but if they’re still throwing their bodies back it wouldn’t be worth it yet. My opinion though. Also, the space inside the chair is REALLY big lol so it’s very easy for baby to slide around or fall to the side if they’re on the smaller side.

They say that these things are super bad for their back and neck at a young age, but they have something called a sit me up that is better for them
