anyone not get/getting a double pram/buggy

My husband is really against us getting a new double pram/buggy as our travel system cost £1400. My son will be 19 months when our new baby arrives so surely I will need something?

My son was 17 months when baby 2 came along and pur double stroller was the best thing we did 😅 If he doesn't plan to come along and be the baby holder, I don't understand how he thinks you'll be able to go out with both kids alone? My son is the size of a 3 year old but just made 2 and we use the double stroller because he's too heavy to carry and sometimes he's too slow for walking. Sell the single and buy a configurable double. We got the mockingbird because it also converts back to a single and we added the riding board now. Sooo worth it. I would pass on a crib or other large baby items to make sure I had a stroller.

Our are 19 months apart and we chose not too as our eldest hated the pram from the moment she was born 😂 We got a buggy board and it worked sometimes but she really does like to be carried. She then decided she liked to sit/lay in the bottom of pram as our pram had a huge under seat basket. It did mean having to carry all the bags and stuff if we didn’t want to carry her. We have now got a bike buggy. So it can be attached to the back of the bike or be used as a buggy. It’s so good. I would say get a double buggy, it’s definitely needed x

I get it's frustrating spending more money but I definitely agree with the other comments that a double buggy is needed. My daughter was 18 months when baby was born and we got a double buggy on fb marketplace for less than half the price it would be new. I do sometimes baby wear and take my toddler for short walks from home in the single buggy but I could never do that for longer walks or if we went out in the car x

I baby wear my youngest and my toddler rides in our stroller. For shorter trips she likes to walk now! 16m apart and don’t plan on getting a double stroller.

16 months part and our double buggy is the best money I ever spent. I cover approx 3-5 miles a day in it though and both boys can nap if we are out and about 😊 life saver on holiday

Don’t forget you can go back to the single once the eldest one is big enough to not need a buggy anymore

We got a stroller wagon you can push or pull that would accommodate 2 riders or 1 rider and has the ability to hook in a baby carrier. The stroller wagons seemed like a popular choice so that’s what we went with for our son and daughter who are also 18 months apart

I just bought a second hand double buggy but this is more for when the little one is a bit bigger and you'll probably need one for any holidays/long days out. When he is tiny I will baby wear and still use my single pram for my toddler

Omg I’m in the exact same position my baby will be 18 months. We’re not going to bother until the new baby is here and figure it out then. The only pram I like is the bugaboo donkey 5 and it’s like £1600🤢 I think our plan is to use the pram we have for the new baby and carry our son in a wearable carrier then when the baby is old enough we will buy a cheapy double push chair. Our son is disabled though he has CP so doesn’t move which makes him easy to carry and manage..

We bought our mountain buggy duet second hand and it’s brilliant. Our toddler is 3, but still likes to sit in buggy sometimes, so it’s great for longer days out. But for shorter trips I just take the single and baby sling (in case) I definitely didn’t want to spend tons on a double buggy and also wanted a relatively small double to fit through doors, on bus, etc

I tried a single and sling but for me personally it did not work. We had a buggy board too.. what I didn’t account for was toddler nearly falling off everything she got near her nap… and then also jumping off to go look at things constantly. I think what broke me was the fact my back was shot after baby #2 hurt to sling for 2 long. And there was a day my toddler was wobbling in exhaustion on the buggy board so I thought right I’ll sling baba and pop my toddler in the pram. Que an emotional overtired break down from my toddler, my baby got kicked and snacked as I tried to wrestle my toddler into the pram seat ((she had never had a breakdown like that before)) it started raining and I just thought f this. Bought a mountain buggy duet as we live in the countryside ((the buggy boards are shocking on anything other than pavements and high curbs were a nightmare)) and I haven’t looked back.

To be honest I still don’t have one. My 2 are 10 months apart and it’s been okay. When we go out I will put my oldest in the stroller and wear my littlest in a wrap. It’s worked really well for me. I got my wrap for $25.
