Early scan

I had this with an early scan and tbh I’m taking with a pinch of salt until the nhs dating scan because they’re sooooo small at that gestation so I feel it must be hard to measure completely accurately. Could also be late ovulation/implantation x

I’ve had 3 scan so far (not private due to heavy bleeds 😓) The first I was about 5+3 (but supposed to be about 7 weeks) They couldn’t find the baby just the yolk sac and didn’t see/hear a heartbeat The second was 7+3 (but after the first we got told it might not be viable and weren’t sure how far) We seen the heart beat and baby measuring at 7+2 The third scan was at 8+3 (but supposed to be 8+1) We seen the heartbeat and baby was okay

I had an early scan yesterday, I thought I was 7+3 but they worked it out that I was only 6+6

It may be due to late implantation/late ovulation. I ovulate around CD20 and it affected my dates last time, and I’m fully expecting that this time! I’m sure you’ll get a more accurate prediction of dates when they’re a little bigger at your 12 week scan x
