Sucking to poo
Swear baby is not actually drinking milk some of the time. She proper tugs and pulls on my nipple and then other times will just suck lightly until she pops or farts. Anyone else had this?
Also I thought breastfed babies couldn’t get constipated?

It’s rare they get constipated! My baby pushes hard and also fussed and cried while pooping! And yet he poops everyday! And is healthy! So I wouldn’t worry too much! 😊
Yes, the reason why baby pulls the nipple and suck lightly is because of two main reasons that I've discovered with my baby girl. One is baby needs to burp, and the other is baby is full. Even if you think baby burped, there could be another burp, hold the baby, and take a walk basically give break between feeds to see if baby needs to pass gass (could be upper gas or lower gas). You can offer the breast again to the baby after she has burped once. If she's full, she'll do the same and not suck properly.

Sometimes she could be comfort nursing! As long as baby is gaining weight, has poops and lots of pees than she’s fine! Trust baby’s natural instincts!🙏🏽💜 also no poop for a few days is normal too with breastfed babies!
