Guilt

I feel so guilty. My and my little boy (7 months) haven’t left the house all day. I’m feeling so run down and just crap I haven’t had the energy to take him out at all. We have spent the day infront of the Tv and I feel awful. Will this be damaging to him??

Nah as a one off you'll be fine even a few off are fine. I'm recovering from pancreatitis so have heavily relied on the wiggles today to entertain my son as my daughter's only a few months old so sleeps a lot still as I'm unable to physically do anything bar the bare basics today of changing feeding cuddles etc

No way! My girl is only 10 weeks but I have some health conditions and also currently a cold so we’ve done very little the past few days and I know there will be more lazy days in the future. I actually think it’s good to teach them that you don’t always have to push yourself and be on the go!

Definitely won't damage him lovely, so pls don't worry! I've barely left the house today, only for school run and to pick partner up from work

No way, we can all have days like that ❤️

Don’t feel guilty, you have to take care of yourself. I think a lot of parents/society place a lot of unrealistic and unsustainable expectations around screen time. Sometimes it’s the only thing you’re able to entertain your LO with especially when you’re unwell. But you get to decide what programs you expose them to. If this isn’t something you want to become a habit then once you’re feeling better, you can get back out and about but every now and again won’t do any harm.

I haven’t left the house in nearly 3 days with my LG who is 7 months. We’ve both been poorly and the weather we had I wouldn’t want to make her worse. I play with her as much as I can but I’m exhausted so it’s not as much as normal. So don’t feel bad on yourself hun. We all have those days!
