Nhs have an early pregnancy unit that can offer scans if you have any concerns or have a complex pregnancy. If you can’t wait till the 20 week scan and want that peace of mind then go for it.
We just had our gender scan this weekend at 17+2 and honestly would do it all over again! The place we booked asked if we wanted to find out in the room or privately but we found out there and then. Any excuse for me to see baby kicking around 🥰
We had a gender scan (£65) and chose to buy a heartbeat teddy (£35). Definitely worth it in my opinion!
I loved our private gender scan we had one with our little boy too and we got a heartbeat bear both times! We got an elephant for my little boy and we got a turtle this time round! It’s nice to always have the first time you heard their heartbeat!
We had an early gender scan at 16+6 and loved it! We had them put it in an envelope so we could open it just the two of us and I’m so glad we did it. We also bought the elephant heartbeat Teddy as a keepsake and there’s something comforting about hearing it whenever you want! x
We had our gender scan at 15+4 and it was incredible. The picture is so much clearer than the nhs ones and we got a heartbeat bunny for my son. Definitely worth it x
I would say it’s worth it but if money is tight I believe you can go to the hospital for a early scan before 20weeks for reassurance 💓
Loved the gender scan as hospital won’t write down the sex for gender reveal and will just tell you there and then. Some places won’t do gender until 16 plus 4. So check before you book.
Definitely have it girl! I had my gender scan yesterday and it’s so worth it! First of all, it feels so good to see your baby again and find out how the baby is doing. We did hear the heartbeat for the first time as well and omg it is like the best song I have ever heard! X
@M same ^ Was well worth it. They also check baby too and she even gave us a sneak peak of baby in 3D!! X
I had my gender scan at 15 weeks and a heart beat bear. Best decision ever, highly recommend x x
In my opinion the private scans are sooo worth it for a bit of reassurance in knowing whether baby is okay, but from what I’ve read can be slightly inaccurate at this stage in getting the gender correct! Obviously it’s preference as some places tell you they’re 99.9% accurate but that’s just what I’ve heard☺️
