Bath time? Hello what products do you all use for bath time? We have a mesh bathtub which he is getting snug for him and put it on our vanity , use cera v body wash and shampoo and then dry him and apply cera v lotion.

Do we need to wash his face with soap too? And use lotion? Im not sure if we are doing this right. Please help!!!

I use soap all over, making sure to get spots like her butt and under her neck and behind her ears. The aveeno soap we have says it’s ph balanced so I don’t worry about using it around her vagina— I keep meaning to check if that’s a thing with all baby soaps. I use a washcloth on her face, and use it on any parts she might have gotten food on herself while trying solids. I have to get her face usually if there’s some food dried on, but sometimes I keep up on it enough through the day to not need to do any thing during bath time. I shampoo her hair (I started out using my aveeno bath soap like everywhere including her hair. Made a huge difference when we did a separate shampoo from Johnson’s. Stopped being so dry). I haven’t worried about lotion often, but I like using a lavender one before bed most of the time. Helps with doing little baby massage time before bed; it’s so weird how tense babies can technically get lmao

Random side note after that long bath routine rant: it terrified me putting water down her face during her first few baths but it’s something I’ve tried do do in baths at least once every time to make her comfortable with it. It helped a ton with her being comfortable playing in the pool this summer. Her favorite thing in the pool now is splashing water directly in front her and all over her head lmao

@Alyssa thank you so much for this! This helps a ton! Also do you mind me asking what bath tub do you all use? We use the below one and have it propped on the bathroom vanity.. but i feel he is outgrowing it and it might topple over God forbid

My 9 month old doesn’t use a baby bathtub anymore. We do a couple of inches in the bottom of the tub and just let her play (she sits up unassisted and is crawling/standing) this is why we don’t use a baby bath anymore she is just too mobile. We invested in a good math mat to keep her from slipping lol

I bathe my son directly in the bathtub with the water level about to his belly button. He has bath toys to make it fun the whole time. I use Aveeno baby wash with soft microfiber washcloths and just make sure I wash everywhere but his face. For his hair I use a baby brush. I always set out his towel before bath time so when he is done, I transfer his straight to the towel and bubble bundle him up. I always then apply lotion, diaper, pajamas.
