Dad can’t console baby

Any other babies here have a hard time being consoled by dad? My daughter is 4 months and she gets inconsolable when her dad has her when I have to run out. She’s been like this since she was pretty much a month old. She is a colic/reflux baby but seems to be over the colic stage as of like a week or two ago and still at times when I leave and she starts crying her dad cannot get her to calm down (today I left for 45 mins and she was screaming the whole time) He does the same tricks I do and is calm with her. There are times when she is super smiley with him but when he holds her when she starts crying she scream cries to the point of spitting up until I take her. Can anyone relate or have advice?

Is baby breast or bottle fed? My husband can’t calm our breastfed baby. The smell of my milk calms him. If dad uses a shirt I have worn and puts it near his chest baby settles a bit better

She is formula fed and she never really gives him a hard time when he feeds her. I’ve tried putting his shirt on me, but I actually haven’t tried having him take my shirt. I will try that thank you!
