Fundal height measurements

Is anyone measuring as if they’re farther along and having your due date change?

My due date was pushed up 3 days (around 12 weeks maybe?) due to the baby measuring bigger than expected on an ultrasound. I'm 27 weeks now and no changes since then, not any due to fundal height.

@Ellie I’ve been measuring bigger in each ultrasound but they’ve said there’s no need to change the date since it’s too early But I guess the fundal height is approx the same as weeks and I just turned 24 weeks today measuring 29-30cm yesterday soooo that threw me off a bit lol

@Michaela I've also heard it's hard to tell early on, so you can't always trust when they say "oh looking big/small!" And a lot of different factors can come into play in fundal height, it sounds like. I'm realizing now that my doc hasn't told me the exact measurement week to week, just measures and writes it down 😅 I'm going to ask now! Thanks!

@Ellie hahaha I get it! Regardless I’m all for having him sooner than later if he’s healthy of course and cooked to perfection but the thought of being pushed a whole month early makes me a little overwhelmed lol

My dr doesn’t do this 🤣😩

@Michaela I’m going through this too! Last appointment I was 22 weeks and measuring 29cm. I was told it could be for a number of reasons, like extra amniotic fluid or just a bigger baby! At my anatomy scan I was measuring ahead but not enough for them to change my due date. My OB scheduled another ultrasound in a few weeks to check on growth. At my Dr office, you have to measure 2 weeks ahead during an ultrasound before they’ll change the due date. Depending on how big the baby is measuring, the size of your belly is an estimate and doesn’t matter as much!
