Injections

Hey all! Does anyone feel like since their little ones had their 1 year injections their baby has been poorly? For me since he’s had them he’s been so unwell and he had them over a month ago and we’re on cold number 3😅 he also still has a small lump in his leg from them too but that’s going down. I’m not trying to scare anyone I don’t regret him having them because a cold is a better outcome than what he could get if he didn’t have the jab but just feel like it might be a symptom from it or just coincidence

I think the colds are just a combination of the time of year and nursery - all the babies in my (end of) September NCT group have had colds this month before vaccinations

@Kathryn I did think it might just be a coincidence 😂 it’s rubbish they get ill so often bless them

The nurse told me they can develop mumps-like symptons around 3 weeks later and i genuinely think thats whats happening with my boy. Him and my toddler both have colds with a cough but he is so much worse. Tonight he has been screaming for ages. He's shattered but just cant settle. Its like hes got a really sore throat :(

Our son has definitely not been right since he had his jabs just over a week ago. But we think he’s finally returning to his old self today. I’d much rather have a few post jab symptoms than him die from measles

@Mary this is exactly what my son is like now!!! He’s so hot to touch but no fever and so attached to me whilst screaming 😥

@Hayley oh 100% that’s why I thought I’d make clear I don’t regret him having the jabs just his Nan took him to the doctors to have them and all I had was a leaflet to read just unfortunately I couldn’t get the time off work! Bless glad your little ones getting better!

My little girl was the same for about 3 weeks, she had her jabs and then everything came at once, I took her to the doctors when it came to week 3 and she was still getting temps but they did all the checks and said she’s fine it’s just viral!
