Looking for some positivity

Having a tough day with my body image today where I don’t recognise the larger body I’m in now. I know I’ve done amazing things having 2 kids but feeling very low. Does anyone have any good quotes or have any uplifting people they follow on insta that will help bring me back up please?

As difficult as it is, I try to think about what I’d say to a friend if she asked/felt the same and give myself the same grace. Your babies won’t remember your clothes size but they will remember feeling loved and feeling safe xxx

I feel the same way, but once the kids are a bit older and we get some time to ourselves we can prioritise weight loss etc, but still doesn’t make this bit any easier :(

Had the same feelings recently myself but then thought that I’ve never once looked at my mums body after having 3 of us and judged how it looked or thought anything negative about her body image, all I see is that she is perfect and I love her. She has always struggled with body image after having children and yet I can’t see anything other than perfection! It’s really not easy to do but have to be kind to yourself x

I started writing poems to process all these postpartum feelings, I know it might sound a bit silly but it's really helped me! My husband encouraged me to post them so check them out if you like. Nothing fits (Part 1 & 2) are all about coming to terms with my new body shape and looking at the contrast of how we see our own body's versus our children's. Some poems are more positive than others, some just the reality of how I'm feeling at that moment but hopefully might help you feel less alone in it all ❤️
