Giving birth alone

Anyone ever given birth without a birthing partner? Currently sat in tears as our childcare for my son can no longer help and my husband will have to take care of him and I go in alone. I'm absolutely terrified and heartbroken.

Family, friends, neighbours. Babysitter? Check sitters website. Heard loads of good reviews. There will be a solution or also a homebirth is a great solution Xx

I'm so sorry this has happened to you! I know it's very short notice but have you tried Bubble? I will be in a similar situation if baby comes early and someone suggested I look at the app if needed

I have my c section booked for Thursday and I am the same situation if I will be lucky enough and had section during nursery time my partner will be with me if not I will be alone. I just tell my self that is my situation and will be what will be till both kids are safe and happy I am happy to sometimes it’s not like we wants. I was on my own with my first one as that was Covid time and midwife’s was amazing to me. I know it hard without partner but remember he will be with ur first one and he will be safe with dad. Good luck 🍀

You might be able to ask your midwife to join you? At least a familiar face?

Sorry to hear that! If I had gone into labour before my mom was able to help, I would've been in the same situation so I understand how you're feeling. 1st baby I ended up giving birth by myself cause it was too quick. Although I didnt have support, it allowed me to go into myself and focus on labouring. As others have suggested, you may be able to ask the midwife to be with you throughout since your birthing partner cannot come. Good luck and you've got this ! 💪💪
