Pram and car seat help!

I really like the nuna mixx next pram but with nuna you're limited to their own brand car seats which look great but have mixed reviews. How helpful is it to be able to use a car seat that can go onto your pram? How often do people use this? I've read that you shouldn't leave baby in a car seat for over 2 hours but I appreciate that it can be handy to not disturb them if they're asleep! Decisions!!

We've gone with the Nuna Mixx Next. We aren't really planning to use the carseat on the pram, mind you. We've gone with the Arra Next car seat and are happy with that choice. It reclines so safer for longer journeys. We almost bought it with the cari next as that's a bassinet that can go in the car.

Really useful for quick trips but babies shouldn’t be in an infant carrier for longer than 30 min - 45min. Unfortunately, 2 hours is too long and very dangerous for such a tiny baby. I always found my baby transferred quite well from car seat to carrier or pram. I don’t have a Nuna car seat but heard a lot of negatives about the fit but I guess it depends which one you get xx

We had the mixx next and car seat for our first and will use it again. I loved both! Very easy to operate and my son was happy in either xx

Thanks for the replies! I agree Jess, I worded that badly in a rush - I wasn't suggesting they would be in there for 2 hours but with that being the absolute maximum anyway (when they're bigger ofc), is there any real benefit to being able to move your car seat to the pram since it's better not to have them in it for extended periods. I can see it being useful for nipping to the shop and not disturbing them, but wasn't sure if I was missing something else ☺️ So much to learn xx

That’s okay! Sorry, just wanted to try and be helpful. ☺️ when they’re in the bigger seats, I think 2 hours is good. My daughter often naps over a long drive with us! I found it really helpful just popping into the shops when they’re really little but eventually it gets heavy and not as helpful 😅

Haha thank you, that's good to know, appreciate it ☺️ xx
