Maternity pads vs disposable underwear

With my first daughter, I used the massive maternity pads and would change them multiple times a day. This time round, I’m considering using the disposable underwear, but they work out at about a quid per pair. Do you change them multiple times a day like with a pad, or are they absorbent enough to wear through the day and just change at night? Just trying to figure out whether they’re worth the money, or whether to just use pads again.

Following as I wondered this

I have brought both.. going to put disposal underwear on with a pad!!.

I used the disposable adult nappies from Aldi with a maternity pads inside. I changed them both numerous amounts of times during the day & night as I bled really heavily.

I used them together postpartum, especially in the beginning. The disposable underwear gave me extra coverage, so I never leaked onto my clothes or bedding. While doing so, I only changed the pad, unless it leaked into the underwear. When the flow slowed, I was eventually able to just wear either one by itself. Disposable underwear works as a pad, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing it through a whole day without changing.

I used Fridas pp disposable underwear and the mesh underwear from the hospital. For the first 2 weeks I wore them with the postpartum pads so I’d just change after I showered. I felt super comfortable in the disposable underwear and wore them for about 4 weeks. (I got a lot for free at the hospital)

i used the hospital mesh underwear and they let you take home a ton of extra ones too so when i was finally done with those i used the frida pp kit undies but they were a bit too big on me. once i got home i used always maxi pads and stuck like 2 together instead of the large blue pad-like things they give you at the hospital. when i went thru the disposable undies i just continued to make the multi pad thingy and wore my maternity underwear which are just regular undies (some would call granny panties lol) but they are like high waisted and honestly those worked the best bc everything stayed put and they’re comfortable. i got those off amazon when i was pregnant

I chose to mix the two together! I wore a pad inside the underwear, I felt very secure and comfortable. With my first I got the always discreet pants, this time I got the home bargains rip off ones. I would change the pad multiple times and the pants maybe 2/3 times in the day x
