Mamas & Papas Ocarro Car seat 🇬🇧

The Ocarro can only take a baby carrier, newborn to 6 months. No pram takes a full toddler car seat due to weight and size of the seat. Maxi cosi work with them though and their adaptors but once baby is big enough they just go in the normal Ocarro seat. You’ll need a carrier for the pram for the first months (then turn it into the standard Ocarro pram seat) and then upgrade to proper car seat for the car only.

@Sarah ah okay, so we have the carrier too. But all car seats that fit the ocarro for the first few months, aren't ones that can be used in the car for longer? (Sorry pregnancy brain getting to me)

Only an infant carrier will fit. Toddler seats stay in the car

Yeah, the carriers can be used in the pram and the car for the first few months but once they get some weight and height on them, they need a proper car seat. Those stay in the car and you’ll put the proper pram seat on the pram then as baby will be sitting up and enjoying the view xx

I know this isn’t what you’re asking, but I had an Occarro for my newborn (he’s 9 weeks now) and it was the worst purchase I made. It’s extremely heavy and with the carrycot on it’s not possible to use the basket underneath the pram. I spoke to M&P about it and they know it’s a design fault. Two of their staff told me to lift the carry cot, with my son in, off to access the basket. I complained several times and thankfully they took it back and gave me a refund, just 3 weeks into using it. The cybex is compatible with the pram, but you’ll need adaptors. As a word of warning on this (because I had to keep the car seat that came with the Occarro bundle), the car seat doesn’t last them long (my sisters little one is 9months older than mine) and she has already had to purchase a new car seat and isofix base for something that will last her daughter, dispute the cybex apparently lasting until 18 months old. Sorry for this negativity, but i wish someone had warned me about the M&P prams.
