I would try to find out whether there’s a sling library near you. It’s a great way to try different options out before you commit to buy.

I’d recommend just a material sling for at home. No particular brand as they are all pretty much the same. For outdoor I used a baby bjorn move carrier as this had more support on the back.

I really love my Tula Explore carrier. They come in a variety of prints and are super easy to get baby in and out of. My daughter loves to fall asleep in it while I’m out and about and she now has the option of being forward facing as well! We use the carrier more than we use our pram these days.

Something spacious and comfy. Ours is joie I love how light and easy to carry it is but the cushions are not breathable so she hates staying in it for more than 20mins.

I have the moby wrap for when I baby wear. It was on offer on amazon at the time. If you want to baby wear I'd suggest visiting a sling library to find one that's best for you. I love my wrap I watched a load of YouTube videos on how to wrap correctly and she loves it. You want something that gets them in the frog leg pose.

Momcozy carrier has been great for us! 😊 Can buy on amazon or online elsewhere! We had a wrap but it just didn't feel right for us, this new one feels a lot sturdier and little one likes being in it!

Lillebaby complete takes you from 6 pounds ish through to early to mid toddler. Beco Gemini is a good one also. Noticed you are in Australia. Not sure if you can get kinderpack shipped there, but kinderpack is also good. . If you don't mind the learning curve. Get a woven in your base size! Woven wrap can be used 5-45 pounds. So a very long time. And unlike stretchy wraps, you can back wear with a woven wrap ( though it's definitely an advanced skill)

Tula free to grow is a good grow with me carrier

Definitely try a sling library! I liked a stretchy wrap for newborn, then when he got bigger the Tula Free to Grow. He still goes in it on my back now at 20 months!

Thanks all! Sadly we don’t seem to have any accessible sling libraries here in Sydney… sounds like such an amazing concept!

@Sonali try have a look for online ones where you pick some & they post them to you, we don’t have any where I live either but managed to find one that’d post!x

Thank you - will do!
