Just a reminder to get nursery spaces reserved so you don’t miss out. Our babies will qualify for 30 hours free from Sep 2025, which is roughly 2 days per week across the year. You still typically have to pay a consumable cost for funded days

This is madness! Booking a place for my little girl & I don't even know what she looks like yet! Luckily, me and hubby have secured a place at a childminders. Funding for 38 weeks of the year and then the rest (as we need her to go for the full year) we pay, but she's £40 a day, including food. Definitely look into childminders, as my little one will get a lot more one to one and my childminder has a membership to the zoo etc, so she'll always be out and about xx

Second this for anyone reading!!!! We booked ours when I was 24 weeks and they were already full until October 2025 and she'll qualify in September 2025! Also ask about the funding etc early on so you're prepared on what to expect. Took us by surprise for my step son when he started at 3 and we were blindsided!
