Boy troubles & nappies

My little one is 8 weeks on Saturday, last time he was weighed he was 12lb 3. For the past week or so we’ve had constant leaking (at least two-3 outfits changes a day) we’ve used Aldi nappies for 1/2 size and moved him into size 3 but since then he’s leaked down one side. I haven’t put his nappies on any different but now he’s taking more ounces his nappies are heavier but within 2 hours he was wet again? Am I expected to change hourly? Should I try a different brand but everyone recommends Aldi? Advise please. 🙏🏻

There are lots of different variables to try, I'm afraid, but a nappy should last a full night if just wet. My little one was weighed 7 days ago at 12lb exactly, and he is in size 2 nappies but will be moving to size 3 soon. The advice I got was: 1- Make sure his willy is pointing down 2- Make sure frilly leg bits are out 3- ensure waste is nice and tight, and over the legs, no gaps are seen (hard to describe but obvious when seen) 4- If all above are done and still leaks/red marks around legs, then it's time to go up a size I've tried a few brands and my favourite are Tesco. I think they are all very different, especially in size, so maybe if you already do the above, try a different brand? I roughly change my LO every 4 hours (he never cries for a nappy change) and at night, he'll go 8 hours ish. I really hope you can figure it out. My leaking issue was the leg frills 🤦‍♀️ so simple when you know

Do you use a carrier or a sling? I've found my son's leak when his legs are in that frog leg position. It's really annoying!

I found my first born would leak through so we tried all the different brands until we tried the Sainsbury’s ones and he hasn’t leaked through these. He’s 17 months old but we used Sainsbury’s nappies from the get go with my 6 week old and haven’t had any problems with them so far 🤞
