Feeling dumb for going to L&D over lack of movement

I have never heard that they only need to move once a day. What I’ve always been told by my ob for this pregnancy and my first one 10 kicks within 2 hours any less call or just come in to be checked.
@Misty yess same here! I’ve never been told 1 kick in 24 hours was normal. Always 10 within 2 hours.

I went in for reduced fetal movement and baby decided to put on a show and kicked 15+ times in 20 mins. I felt embarrassed however they encouraged me to come back anytime there may be concern.
UPDATE: baby was just fine, he just decided to freak me out for no reason. I also thought I was having contractions 5 minutes apart and when I got there they said my contractions were actually coming 2 minutes apart. However they checked my cervix and I’m 0cm and 0% effaced so they sent me home. Contractions eventually stopped about 6 hours later. I’m so glad baby boy is fine but super annoying that I’ve been going into “labor” almost every night now and it always ends up stopping
I don't think you're stupid. Better safe than sorry. These nurses can tend to be very dismissive, and half of them have never been pregnant, so they wouldn't understand. Hope baby is ok 💜
