It’ll depend on what temperature the room your baby sleeps in is. If below 20 degrees then a 2.5 tog would be fine.
2.5 and just in pjs without a vest underneath atm room is between 18.5-19.0 in his room
I’d go for 2.5. I don’t think my LO likes the padded feeling of it around his upper body though so we have a 1.5 and have pyjamas and a vest, socks and a cellular blanket added at around 3am ish or whatever time i wake up. We also co sleep so he may get warm being next to me. 2.5 is known as the mostly universal tog for all seasons so is a safe bet especially if your room dips under 20 degrees at all
2.5 with a sleepsuit no vest as the temperature goes from 18-20 with the heating coming on and off during the night and find this keeps her warm but not overly hot.
