Most of the toys we have are secondhand. So hopefully by now they have weathered and off gassed as much as possible. So most of her toys are wood or silicone. But we have some plastic. Additionally, checking that the paint on wood toys are low lead levels if possible.
Ikea have great wooden toys. I get mine from there, and my Kmart also have a great variety of wooden toys. Look on FB as well, I just wipe it down w a Milton spray. The only plastic toys he has is his cars/trains, farm animals, and some that were gifted, he had 2 push walkers one wood one plastic w noise gifted to us. And we also use rechargeable batteries for the toys that take batteries.
Silicone is okay and wheatstraw is a good plastic alternative 👍🏼
