Stranger kissed my babies lips! 😭

I’m on holiday and my 14 week old baby was literally snatched out of my hands.. and then kissed all over the face AND LIPS. I’m devastated. It all happened so fast by a sales assistant!! I grabbed my baby back so fast my rings and nails scratched the women (I didn’t care about her scratches), left all my shopping and ran to the car where I had wet wipes to wipe his face. I know how incredibly serious this could be… and the fact we are holidaying in a country without first world healthcare. I know that chances of him getting sick, or seriously sick are slim, but the feeling of failure and fear is so real. 😭😭😭 Please hold your babies tight.

People always approach me and my baby and I flipped on a few for touching him. I scream personal space all the time at those who come near me I would be going to jail if someone kissed my baby. My family knows they are not allowed. Wtf 🤬

I’d be in jail because WHAT?!! Also…I’d call and report that person at their job. That is SO inappropriate (to say the least)

This happened to me on holiday with my 1 year old, she was playing peek a boo with another guest of the hotel and she randomly kissed her on the lips and said she’s adorable. Found it so odd for someone to do that as i wouldn’t dream of it, i wasn’t happy with it atall

Screams pedophile if other people are kissing them on the lips...

Im sorry this happened to you. In different cultures, this is completely normal. We must advocate for our little ones as much as we can 💖

@Katherine I think you’re right - it might be a cultural norm where I am holidaying… however there are also other locals who are telling others off and ‘don’t kiss the baby’.. so they’re not uneducated. I think what’s worse is I even said to the shop assistants that I don’t let people kiss or hold my baby, and they still felt entitled to snatch my baby. 😞 I keep replaying it over and over in my mind and wish I had done more to confront this person rather than running off.

@Tasha thank you for sharing. You’re right, that is such odd behaviour!

@Christina🤱🏼🍂🌮🍕🥗🍦☕️♈️ thank you, I think I’ve just learnt a very tough lesson, and now no one will be holding or even getting near enough to touch my baby. I was scared of confrontation, but this was the tipping point I might have needed to now say NO as a complete sentence, and then walk away.

Yeah we learn quickly we have to advocate and speak up for our babies to anyone. Stranger, doctor, family.
