What kind of help? I think she will only be about 20 months.

This made me chuckle. She can and will help the new baby learn to talk and how children behave. She will help in the tiny little ways that a 20 month old can, and can love on the new baby and on you, which will be helpful in its own way. I have two nieces (siblings) that are around that close. They are adorable together. Chaotic at times, but I think the good definitely outweighs the crazy for my sister.

My other two have a similar age gap (19 months) and she was helpful in some respects in that if I asked her to pick a toy her sister had dropped up then she would. As they’ve got older she helps her a lot more with things as the older ones communication got better - she’s helped and continues to help with the younger one’s speech, walking and teaching sharing

Omg I had to read twice to fully understand - the first time I read 14 year old 😂

I currently have a 22 month old and right now there is absolutely no chance he’d be any help with a baby, he has a baby doll and she often gets thrown and used to hit things in between cuddles I’m not sure what sort of help you mean but I’m expecting my toddler to be more of a hindrance than a help and he’ll be 28 months old

I have a 18 month old baby and I think she will want to be hands on to help but there’s only so much I will be able to do on my own haha but no way she will be able to do anything 😂

@Mia washing clothes, dishes cooking! Haha jk but seriously picking up toys or bring me something I need. Idk what to expect with two babies lol

@Megan awwwww this sounds like it would be great. Those tiny ways will help out a lot💕

@Emma yeaaa someone to play with I have to think about it long term not just when babies your right!!

@Delaney hahaha if I had a 14 year old they would for sure be able to help out.

@Rebecca omg 😂😂😂 not thrown I’m not sure what to expect I just know I will need some help even if it means she has to act like a big girl because there is a new baby

@Diane someone mentioned when they get a little older the oldest can help the baby with communication and walking I think this will be good!

I’m getting my son a baby doll to kind of start showing him what to expect and how he should be around a new baby! Although my son is a little older, he’ll be barley over 2 when I have my second, I am going to let him help with the baby to prevent him from feeling left out!

@Amelia ooo that’s a good idea!!
