Breastfed baby question😄

My little ones poop has been green in colour the past couple of days, I’ve read online it could be due to too much foremilk. I switch breasts while feeding and have done for a while now however I read this could possibly be the cause of the green poop. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought it was quite normal to switch breasts during feeds as I always make sure she’s drained from the first breast then offer the second just to be sure she’s full up? Little girl seems absolutely fine in herself, only change is the colour of her poop😂

Yeah I've had the same thing. It's not necessarily a problem if she seems fine. If the poos are foamy or explosive and she seems uncomfortable I'd maybe try not switching. Remember your breasts will make as much as she needs so you're unlikely to be drained anyway x

I had the same a while back and was worried about it but the green just went away after a week or so and we've never had it since. Not sure what caused it

Does she come off the first boob herself? X

She does! I’ve just read where they say when she comes off the first breast and appears ‘milk drunk’ to offer the second breast as ‘dessert’ and she will take it but I’ll maybe stop and see if that makes a difference😊 d

I was just thinking 2 things, so she might be satisfied already from the first boob, that's why she's took herself off. So see if she remains happy and then save the 2nd boob for the next feed. Or, she might want the extra but is obviously not getting to the hind milk of the second boob so the extra foremilk is making her poo green. Trial and error as always with these babies😅 x

I ran like I’ve said she’s completely fine in herself it’s just the poop that’s turned green! No temperature or anything like that of concern😄 I think as well because she’s on the smaller side of the centiles I want to make sure she’s completely full. I know if she’s over fed she’d spew it back up again or just refuse the second breast but she never does either of those! X

See how you get on then and hopefully the poo decides to go back to a normal colour soon😅🤞x
