Throwing fit in bathtub

Okay, hopefully I won't get too much hate for this post. I just gave my daughter a bath and she threw a fit where she threw herself backwards and I had to fight her to keep her head from going under the water. Next time, do I let her get her head under and immediately pull her up or is there another way to teach her not to do that in the bathtub?

I would say no, that's just my opinion. There was an incident where my daughter threw herself and she slipped through my hands because she was lathered in soap. She not only got hurt and choked on water, but the tantrum got way worse. I felt so bad. It could worsen the situation. I would drain the tub and finish the bath with a cup to rinse. Hopefully this helps. I know exactly where you're coming from.

@Morgan I'm sorry your daughter got hurt! I hate that they can't understand that we're only looking out for their best interests :(

I’d let her do it… but maybe that’s just me… my daughter kinda knows how to hold her breath tho because we do swim lessons. She actually puts her face under to play… so maybe that’s why I’m not worried
