Post vaccinations?

My little one has just had is 8 week jabs (late, he’s almost 10 weeks now!) He’s had his 3rd dose of calpol but I’m tempted to give him 1 more before bed as his temperature is creeping up - it’s been steady between 36.6-36.9 most of the day but we’re getting into 37.5 now which I know is still fine but it’s deffos on the up. Then that will be his 4 doses in 24 hours so can’t have any more. 2 questions… 1. He has been sleeping in 2.5 tog sleeping bags recently as it’s been cold but do you think I should put him back in his 1 tog swaddle bag for tonight? I don’t want him to overheat. 2. If I give him the 4th dose of calpol and his temperature goes up during the night what do I do?!

We put our LO down in his sleepsuit and added the sleeping bag during the night once his temp was down. Our advice was that we could give calpol for temperature up to 48hrs after the jags but to ring the gp if there were still issues beyond this period. If you’re unsure though always ring for advice!

Hey Nina, no help here sorry but just checking in, how did you and little man get on? Xx

@Tia aw thank you, he slept ok actually I’m surprised! Still very sleepy today though 🥹 x

Apologies that I’m late to this but my little boys temp went to 37 the morning after the 3x doses as well and I trusted my own instinct to give him one more dose (fell outside of the 24 hours) to bring it down and he didn’t need any more after that 😊 Us mums know our children best x

@Due July Xo yeah I also ended up giving him the extra dose too as I didn’t want his temp to spike any higher whilst we’re all asleep and I can’t keep an eye on him as much 😑 he’s still rather sleepy today but his temperature been ok today x

@Nina It took my little boy three full days to get back to his happy smiley self, I was wishing those days away 😂 x
