Tantrums at bath time

This is my 20 month old. As you can see, she has lots of curly locks!! She doesn’t enjoy having it washed and it always results in tears 😭 Has anyone found a good way of washing their little one’s hair? I normally use a cup to rinse. Also, does anyone get tears and tantrums after bath time? I’m trying to get her dry and she’ll just scream. Picture of the little lady in question.

My daughter hates it to. To be honest I just try and get it done as quickly as possible as it’s one of those unavoidable jobs that has to be done!

@Katie ah fair enough! I try and make it super relaxing and calm but nope 🤣

@Chloe Yeah I get that! I do the hair wash right at the start so we can spend the rest of bathtime calming down before bed!

Wash it every 2 days. My husband does the hair wash nights as she doesn’t react as extremely when he does it compared to me. Try distract and do it as quickly as possible. I remember seeing somebody previously suggest holding a flannel on their forehead to soak up the water but I keep forgetting to try this!

@Hayley how funny, it’s the same when my husband does it. I think it’s because he’s quite quick at it. I’ve tried using a sponge but she grabs it off me 😅

Probably really obvious, but we’ve started to get her to look up when I’m rinsing it to stop the water going in her eyes. I’ve heard people say they’ve stuck things to the ceiling too or you could just get a toy and hold it above her to coax her eyeline and head! Might be worth a go!

Um, I just pour several jugs of water over his head 🙈 he doesn't mind it and he likes to use his brush to brush it himself but he hasn't got half the amount of hair of your daughter. Try the my little coco curl spray, it seems nice tho I've not needed it for tangles yet x
